Hi there! Brent Vernon here. Thanks for stopping by! I really appreciate it.
I am a follower of Jesus Christ and a firm believer in the reliability of God's word, the Bible. As such, I love the fact that anyone who accepts the gift of salvation is also given unique abilities and corresponding opportunities to reflect the Gospel, the Good News, in our daily lives. Sometimes, these opportunities are orchestrated on platforms or stages in front of large groups of people. More often, however, the opportunities present themselves in the every day moments we share with our neighbors, friends, and acquaintances. No matter how it happens, it's always a privilege to point people to Jesus (1 Peter 3:15).
This ministry grew out of an immature teenager's love for music and a genuine sincerity to do God's work. But, as a young man, I was also enamored with the idea of making a name for myself and reaching a level of commercial success that others might find impressive. You've probably heard similar stories. But with the passing of time, I've discovered the deeper joy and sense of purpose in telling His story wherever and however the opportunity presents itself. Simply put (and as cliché as it sounds), it's not about me.
The love of Jesus is real and far-reaching, able to redeem anything for His glory and our good. In a world of hurt, regret, and ruin, His great love is the best news! It's life changing. And it's worth sharing.
I believe that God has given me a unique assortment of creative talents that, as they've been woven together, presented with excellence, and covered in prayer, has made an eternal difference in many lives. I don't say that with boastful spirit, but with a deep sense of gratitude. I am a faulty vessel, but a thankful one.
I think of all You've given,
The kindness You have shown.
There's nothing I could ever
Truly call my own
For every perfect gift--every gift is from above.
So why then would I glory?
Why ever would I boast
Save in the cross of Jesus,
The One who gave the most?
No sacrifice compares to that greatest gift of love.
As God has helped me to grow personally and professionally, I've been finding my own voice and connecting with audiences in deeper ways. I write, sing, and play music with the aim of exalting Christ--and that's wonderful, but I also appreciate the gift of laughter in visiting with my pal Sam or in sharing my children's stories, art, and characters along the way. It has been an absolute joy.
I say it often, but it's true: every opportunity to share is a gift, and one I don't take lightly.
"Declare his glory among the nations, his marvelous deeds among all peoples."
